The Ministry of Ports and Airports has approved the construction of a new cruise terminal in Santos, following prior authorization from Antaq. The project, led by Transbrasa, will be situated in Ponta da Praia near the Fisherman’s Deck and requires clearance from the SPU, Navy, municipal authorities, and environmental agencies. With an estimated investment of BRL 1.247 billion across 294,000 m², the terminal will run parallel to the Port of Santos’ navigation channel. Transbrasa highlights that the development will enhance the city’s tourism appeal and strengthen its port infrastructure. Currently, Santos operates the Giusfredo Santini terminal, which is set to be relocated to Valongo, while the winner of the Tecon Santos 10 auction will develop an additional terminal at Saboó pier.
