MIDDLE EAST EXPORTS GROW BY 23.5%, OUTPACING ALL TRADING BLOCS

From January to September, Brazilian exports to the Middle East increased by 23.5% to USD 13.483 billion, led by a 65.4% growth in sales to the United Arab Emirates, the region’s biggest market. Sugar, poultry, iron ore, livestock, and soybeans were the most widely exported products. Brazilian imports from the Middle East were USD 5.986 billion, with oil and fertilizers standing out. Saudi Arabia topped exports from the Middle East to Brazil, despite a 12.6% drop. The trade movement reached USD 19.469 billion, establishing a positive balance of USD 7.498 billion in Brazil.
