The Secretariat of Economic Development of Mato Grosso (Sedec) organized an international expedition that marked a significant step in opening the Chinese market to DDG. Such developments may transform Mato Grosso’s production chain, as the state now leads Brazil in corn ethanol output. The articulation began in China, where public servant Ariana Guedes, a state government representative, received contact from the Donlink group, one of China’s largest agro-industrial companies, expressing an interest in importing pulses (such as sesame and beans), as well as, primarily, from the Mato Grosso Department of Agriculture. Sedec then began to plan the delegation’s visit to the state, with the assistance of the Macau Region Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).
