MATO GROSSO HARVESTED 99.91% OF THE AREA SOWN WITH CORN, POINTS OUT IMEA

The 2023/24 winter corn harvest in Mato Grosso is nearly complete, with 99.91% of the sown area harvested as of last Friday, according to the Mato-Grossense Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea). This marks an increase of 3.83 percentage points from the same period last year and 2.4 points above the five-year average of 97.51%. The southeast region is the only area still harvesting, with 99.48% completed, up 15.08 points from last year’s 84.4%. All other regions (central-south, mid-north, northeast, northwest, north, and west) have finished harvesting their winter corn.
