MATO GROSSO DO SUL REPORTS 98% COMPLETION OF 2024-25 SECOND CORN HARVEST

The 2024-25 second corn harvest in Mato Grosso do Sul is nearing completion, with 98.5% of the cultivated area, (equivalent to 2.07 million hectares) already harvested, as reported by Siga-MS/Aprosoja. The northern part of the state leads the progress at 99.6%, followed by the central region (99.4%) and the south (98%). Current market prices in the state average BRL 123.23 for a bag of soybeans and BRL 49.93 for corn. Weather forecasts for the coming days predict stable, firm conditions featuring sunshine and high temperatures potentially reaching 42°C. A high atmospheric pressure system is causing low relative humidity, expected to range between 10% and 30%.
