The Port of Itaqui in Maranhão is accelerating the construction of Berth 98 with Cantitravel technology, replacing traditional maritime support for safer, faster, and more precise operations. The R$ 289 million project, set for completion by October 2026, will add a 320m x 40m dock, boosting export capacity by 8 million tonnes annually and increasing revenue by 20%. The structure includes modern systems for safety, utilities, and cargo handling. Currently, 20% of the foundation is complete, with 150 workers on-site, set to double as construction progresses. Local labor makes up 80% of the workforce. This expansion enhances Maranhão’s logistics, creating jobs and driving regional development.
