In July 2025, the Port of Itaqui set new records by handling 3.76 million tons and operating 112 berths, owing to ship-to-ship (STS) operations, which surged to 415,000 tons, more than double initial projections. From January to July, the port handled 21.042 million tons, with growth in all segments: dry bulk (+8%), liquid (+11%), and general cargo (+3%). Fertilizers (+25%), rails (+69%), and beef tallow (+34%) were among the top performers. The strong performance underscores the port’s enhanced infrastructure and operational efficiency, reinforcing its position as the leading public port in Brazil’s Northern Arch region and a vital logistics hub for the country.
