INTEGRATION ROUTES WILL CONNECT BRAZIL TO ASIA WITHIN 4 YEARS

The Brazilian government expects integration routes to connect Brazil to Asia within four years, bolstering international trade. Ministers Carlos Fávaro (Agriculture), Simone Tebet (Planning), and Waldez Góes (Integration) unveiled the Rota Quadrante Rondon, one of South America’s five integration routes. The goal is to minimize logistics costs while increasing the competitiveness of Brazilian exports. Data show that Mato Grosso’s exports increased from USD 1.7 billion in 2000 to more nearly USD 32 billion in 2023, primarily of soybeans, corn, cattle, and cotton, with China serving as the primary client. The new routes are intended to reduce regional disparities and help areas in the Midwest, North, and Northeast regions by boosting infrastructure and logistics.
