Inpasa will start operations at its corn ethanol plant in Luís Eduardo Magalhães (BA) in April, adding its sixth unit in Brazil. The facility has capacity to process 1 million tonnes of corn per year and produce 470 million liters of ethanol. The project strengthens the company’s presence in a key grain-producing region and expands renewable fuel output. Inpasa also supports increasing the ethanol blend in gasoline to improve competitiveness and reduce emissions. Despite Middle East tensions and concerns over fossil fuel supply, the company said the biofuels market remains stable, with no impact on prices or availability. The plant is expected to support regional development and job creation while reinforcing domestic ethanol supply.
