Soybean harvesting in Mato Grosso has reached 51% of the area for the 2025/26 season, a weekly advance of 11.4 percentage points, according to the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea). The pace exceeds the historical average and aligns with last year’s performance. State production is estimated at 50.5 million tons, slightly below the prior record. Planting of off-season corn has reached 46.07% of the expected area, above 2025 levels but still below the historical average. Cotton sowing is nearly complete at 98% of the area, outpacing the previous harvest.
