The Instituto Água e Terra (IAT) has granted an environmental license for the BRL 18 million revitalization of key access roads to the Port of Antonina. The project, led by Portos do Paraná, covers 4.6 km and includes replacing asphalt with durable concrete pavement, enhancing road safety and reducing maintenance. It also adds bike lanes, ramps, bus shelters, drainage, and signage. Construction is set to begin this semester and finish by mid-2026. The initiative aims to improve traffic flow and local mobility. In 2024, the port saw a 47% rise in cargo volume, moving 1.9 million tons.
