HEDGEPOINT SEES POSSIBLE RECOVERY OF THE CENTER-SOUTH SUGARCANE HARVEST IN 2025/26

Hedgepoint Global Markets has issued a preliminary assessment predicting a recovery for Brazil’s 2025/26 sugarcane harvest in the Center-South region, although it will remain below the record levels of 2023/24. The 2025/26 harvest is estimated at 620 million tons, up from 614 million tons in the current season, while sugar production is expected to rise to 42.5 million tons, compared to 40.28 million tons in 2024/25. However, sugarcane planting in 2024 is lower than in 2023, potentially leading to older fields in 2025. Favorable weather conditions may help compensate for this and boost productivity after a challenging year of drought and fires.
