GOOD RAINFALL VOLUMES FAVOR FIRST-SEASON CROPS

The first half of December was marked by good rainfall volumes from the North to the South of the country, which favored sowing and the development of first-crop crops.  Despite the delay in sowing, the current harvest index is evolving close to or above previous cycles. The first corn crop is developing in good conditions in almost the entire country, with most areas in the South region in reproductive stages. Soybean planting has recovered from the initial delay and the better distribution of rainfall in December has benefited crop development. Harvesting is about to begin.
