GOIÁS BREAKS SUGARCANE PRODUCTION RECORD IN 2024-25 HARVEST

Goiás Department of Agriculture’s Agro em Dados bulletin, now in its 68th edition, boasts a record sugarcane harvest for 2024-25, with a forecast production of 78.5 million tons, according to Conab. Goiás is now the third biggest producer in Brazil, thanks to a 2.6% growth from the previous cycle and an average productivity of 81 tons per hectare, besides an increase in harvested area of 969.7 thousand hectares. Sugar production climbed by 2.9 million tons and ethanol production by 4.8 billion liters.
