Between May 19 and 26, the dollar depreciated by almost R $ 0.40, quoted at R $ 5.34 on Tuesday (26), a scenario that reduced the parities of internationally tradable products. As a result, there was a worsening of the “arm wrestling” between these agents and reduced liquidity, according to researchers from Cepea. In recent days, the prices of paddy rice oscillated, but still accumulated highs, reaching nominal record levels in practically all the regions consulted. The Esalq / Senar Indicator in Rio Grande do Sul, 58% whole grains (weighted average), rose 3.2% from May 19 to 26, closing at R $ 62.94 for the 50 kg bag on Tuesday.
