Brazilian agriculture drove national economic growth in Q1 2025, expanding 12.2% compared to Q4 2024—the highest among all sectors—and contributing significantly to a 1.4% rise in Brazil’s GDP. According to the IBGE, services also grew slightly (0.3%). Compared to Q1 2024, GDP rose 2.9%, with agriculture up 10.2%, thanks to strong harvests and increased productivity. Key crops like soybeans, corn, rice, and tobacco saw notable production growth. Over the four quarters ending in March 2025, GDP grew 3.5%, led by increases in agriculture (1.8%), industry (3.1%), and services (3.3%), reflecting effective investments and expanded Market access.
