Brazil’s special secretary for Strategy Affairs, Flávio Rocha, said that the Brazilian government is working on the creation of bills to accelerate investments from national and foreign companies in the country. Rocha said the government has proposed a bill to change legislation to encourage and attract foreign investment to Brazil. During the seminar held by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce as part of the mission in Cairo, Rocha invited Egyptian businessmen to inject capital in Brazil. The secretary said that the Brazilian government aims to build a strategic partnership with the Arab countries and with Egypt to strengthen the trades with the region. According to him, Egypt could be Brazil’s gateway to the African market and Brazil could be Egypt’s gateway to Latin America. Rocha pointed out that there are promising opportunities for cooperation with Egypt in food security, as Brazil produces food Egypt could benefit from and Egypt has large potential in fertilizers.
