FIRST AUCTION OF PORT TERMINALS TO BE HELD ON AUGUST 21

The Brazilian Government will hold the first port auction of 2024 on August 21 at B3 in São Paulo. Five terminals are up for bidding: REC08, REC09, and REC10 at the Port of Recife (PE), RDJ06 at Rio de Janeiro, and RIG10 at the Port of Rio Grande (RS). The notices will be published this week in the Official Gazette of the Union. The process, formerly scheduled for May, was postponed due to flooding in Rio Grande do Sul. The total investment will be BRL 78.3 million, with leases, in a simplified model for up to 10 years, without extension. These leases aim to expand logistics activity, improve port infrastructure, and generate jobs.
