FERTILIZER DELIVERIES SOAR BY 10.7% IN EARLY 2025

Fertilizer deliveries to the Brazilian market increased by 16.8% in April 2025, reaching 2.68 million tons, according to ANDA. Between January and April, total deliveries reached 12.12 million tons, a 10.7% increase from the same period in 2024. This increase reflects the industry’s efforts to protect supply amid geopolitical and logistical challenges ahead of the predicted record harvest in 2024-25. Mato Grosso had the highest percentage of deliveries (24.2%), followed by Paraná, Goiás, São Paulo, and Minas Gerais. Domestic intermediate fertilizer production increased by 9.1% in the first four months of the year, reaching 2.24 million tons, while imports increased by 12.2% to 11.26 million tons.
