FERTILIZER DELIVERIES JUMP 11.7% IN JULY, CAPPING A 10.7% RISE FOR THE YEAR

Fertilizer deliveries to the Brazilian market reached 5.15 million tons in July 2025, an 11.7% increase from the previous year, bringing the year-to-date total to 25.29 million tons (+10.7%), according to ANDA. Mato Grosso was the leading consumer, accounting for 22.9% of the national total, followed by Paraná, São Paulo, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, and Bahia. While domestic production of intermediate fertilizers saw a monthly dip of 4.1% to 646 thousand tons, it grew 6.6% for the year. Imports rose 19.7% in July and 12.1% year-to-date, reaching 22.98 million tons. The Port of Paranaguá remained the primary entry point, handling 26.1% of all imports with six million tons unloaded from January to July, a 13.7% increase over 2024.
