FERTILIZER DELIVERIES INCREASED 11,4% IN 2025

From January to May 2025, fertilizer deliveries in Brazil reached 15.83 million tons, up 11.4% from the same period in 2024, with May alone recording 3.70 million tons (+13.8%). Mato Grosso led with 24% of the total (3.80 million tons), followed by Paraná, Goiás, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, and Bahia. Domestic production of intermediate fertilizers also rose, hitting 2.91 million tons (+11.4%), while imports grew 13.9% year-to-date, totaling 14.92 million tons. In May, imports alone were 3.66 million tons (+19.2%). The Port of Paranaguá remained the main entry point, receiving 4.03 million tons (+12.5%), equivalent to 27% of all imported fertilizers. These results reflect stronger demand and Brazil’s reliance on both domestic output and imports to sustain its agricultural sector.
