FERTILIZER DELIVERIES IN BRAZIL SURGE PAST 5 MILLION TONS FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE MONTH, MARKING A 9.3% YEARLY GROWTH

Fertilizer deliveries in Brazil reached 5.39 million tons in September, an 11.3% increase from 2024, and near the all-time record of 5.5 million tons set in August 2023. This marked the third consecutive month that shipments surpassed 5 million tons, driven by record soybean acreage for the 2025-26 season and a shift by farmers toward cheaper, less concentrated fertilizers that require greater volume. Total deliveries through September rose 9.3%, reaching 35.87 million tons. Imports in September dipped 7.4% to 3.91 million tons but remained up 8.4% year-on-year, totaling 31.49 million tons. Domestic production also grew, reaching 713 thousand tons in September (+6.2%) and 5.57 million for the year to date (+6.6%).
