From January to May 2025, fertilizer deliveries in Brazil reached 15.83 million tons, an 11.4% increase over the same period in 2024, according to ANDA. In May alone, 3.70 million tons were delivered, up 13.8% year-over-year. Mato Grosso led with 24% of total deliveries (3.80 million tons), followed by Paraná, Goiás, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, and Bahia. Domestic production of intermediate fertilizers also grew, totaling 2.91 million tons from January to May—up 11.4%. In May, production rose 20.1% to 658 thousand tons. Imports climbed as well: May saw 3.66 million tons imported (up 19.2%), and year-to-date imports hit 14.92 million tons (up 13.9%). The Port of Paranaguá remained the main entry point, receiving 4.03 million tons—27% of all imports and a 12.5% increase over 2024.
