FEDERAL GOVERNMENT POSTPONES AUCTION OF PORT TERMINALS

The Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor) has postponed the auction for six port terminals, originally scheduled for May 23rd at the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3). The decision comes amidst the ongoing public calamity in Rio Grande do Sul due to severe flooding, with MPor expressing respect for the affected families and friends. The auction, the Federal Government’s first this year, includes terminals in Rio Grande do Sul, Recife, and Rio de Janeiro. Antaq published the bidding notice in April, with a total investment of R$89.7 million allocated. The terminals will operate under simplified leasing contracts for up to ten years, without extension options. Each terminal has specific investment focuses, ranging from solid bulk handling to liquid cargo operations.
