FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES 2025/26 HARVEST PLAN WITH R$516,2 BILLION

The Brazilian Federal Government has launched the 2025/2026 Harvest Plan with R$516.2 billion to support medium and large agricultural producers, R$8 billion more than the previous plan. Managed by the Ministry of Agriculture, it includes financing, marketing, and investment options with varying interest rates. New rules require adherence to the Agricultural Zoning of Climatic Risk (Zarc) for most financing. The plan expands input purchasing periods and supports sustainable practices with lower interest rates. Debt renegotiation is more flexible, and programs like Funcafé, Moderagro, and Inovagro were expanded or unified. The RenovAgro subprogram now funds fire prevention and environmental recovery. The PCA program doubled its storage limit, and the Pronamp income threshold rose to R$3.5 million, broadening access.
