ETHANOL STOCKS IN THE CENTER-SOUTH REACH 10.48 BILLION LITERS AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER

Ethanol stocks in Brazil’s Center-South exceeded 10 billion liters, reaching 10.48 billion liters by October 1, a 17.2% increase from mid-September and a 2.2% rise from last year. São Paulo, the leading producer, stored 5.49 billion liters, marking a 6.7% increase in two weeks and 6.6% year-over-year. Hydrated ethanol stocks were 6.37 billion liters, up 6.6% from mid-September, while anhydrous stocks reached 4.11 billion liters, a 4% annual increase. In the past fortnight, 1.44 billion liters of biofuel were produced for vehicles, with 27.2% directed to storage. Notably, for the first time this season, over 50% of biweekly production was stored, with São Paulo holding 2.36 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol, an 8% increase from last year.
