According to the Sugarcane and Bioenergy Industry Union (Unica), sales of ethanol in Brazil reached 1.46 billion liters in the first half of October, a 17.2% increase over the same period during the previous harvest. Hydrous ethanol sales in the domestic market jumped 14.1% to 902.74 million liters, while anhydrous ethanol sales increased 28.77% to 532.29 million liters. Up until October 16, 19.3 billion liters (up 16.29%) had been sold during the 2024–2025 harvest. Regarding CBios, the issue in 2024 came out to be 33.75 million credits, with 97% of the annual target met.
