The Brazilian trade balance registered a surplus of US$ 3.67 billion up to the third week of September, with a growth of 59.4% over the same month last year by the daily average. The trade flow increased 30.6% in the period, reaching US$ 30.34 billion, reflecting the sum of exports, which grew 33.2% and reached US$ 17.01 billion, and imports, which increased 27.4% and totaled US$ 13.33 billion. The data were released on Monday (09/19) by Brazil’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Ministry of Economy. In the third week of September alone, the surplus was US$ 1.733 billion, and the trade flow reached US$ 13.849 billion due to exports worth US$ 7.791 billion and imports worth US$ 6.058 billion.
