DRY WEATHER CAUSES RAÍZEN TO GRIND 15% MORE SUGARCANE IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE 2024/25 HARVEST

Raízen processed 30.9 million tons of sugarcane in Q1 of the 2024/25 harvest, a 15.2% increase from the previous year, due to an earlier harvest start and drier weather. This led to a 26.1% rise in sugar sales (2.421 million tons) and an 18.1% increase in ethanol sales (1.274 billion liters). Second-generation ethanol production more than doubled to 16.2 million liters. Electricity sales grew 78.1% to 8.1 million MWh. Fuel distribution in Brazil remained stable, while operations in Argentina and Paraguay handled 1.8-1.9 billion liters. Prices for sugar, ethanol, and electricity were lower compared to the previous year.
