Biodiesel demand in Brazil is set to keep rising, with StoneX projecting consumption of 9.8 million m³ in 2025—up 8.8% from 2024—and 10.5 million m³ in 2026, a 6.3% increase driven by the full implementation of the B15 blend. Analyst Leonardo Rossetti notes that 2026 will benefit from B15’s year-round validity, unlike 2025, when it applies from August to December. So far in 2025, 6.4 million m³ have been sold (+6.4%), and soybean oil consumption reached record highs of 5.1 million tons (+9.5%). StoneX expects 7.9 million tons for 2025 and 8.4 million in 2026, with growing domestic use of beef tallow due to U.S. tariffs. In an alternative scenario with B16 starting in March 2026, biodiesel could reach 11 million m³ and soybean oil 9 million tons.
