COUNTRY HARVESTED 99.4% OF SUMMER CORN FOR THE 2023/24 HARVEST; 91.3% SAFRINHA IS HARVESTED, SAYS CONAB

As of August 4th, the Brazilian summer corn crop harvest for 2023/24 reached 99.4% of the sown area, according to the National Supply Company (Conab). This is a 0.4 percentage point increase from the previous week and 0.2 points behind the same period last year. Bahia, Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul have completed their harvests, while Maranhão and Piauí are at 97% and 96%, respectively. The second crop corn harvest is at 91.3%, up 5.3 points from last week and 27 points ahead of last year. Tocantins has finished, with Mato Grosso at 99.3%, Piauí at 98%, and other states following.
