CORN HARVEST REACHES 29% OF THE AREA IN PARANÁ, SAYS DERAL

The total corn harvested in Paraná reached 29% of the cultivated area, a 16 percentage point increase from the previous week, marking one of the earliest harvests in history, according to Deral. The condition of the plantations remained steady: 52% rated as “good,” 31% as “average,” and 17% as “bad.” The dry weather accelerated crop maturation but also reduced production potential. The early planting contributed to the early harvest. Deral indicated that the production estimate of 13.2 million tons for the second corn harvest will likely be revised downwards at the end of the month.
