Part of the production of Copersucar’s partner mills will be donated to the free supply of public health units in three Brazilian states. The volume collected of 185 thousand liters of alcohol 70% will be used, still this month, for disinfection, essential for hospital use. The action will include the Health Secretariats of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and Santa Catarina. The first shipment of 45,000 liters of alcohol destined for Joinville/SC was delivered on Wednesday 25. The volume and distribution to each unit is coordinated by the Union of the Sugarcane Industry (UNICA) and supported by members of the Brazilian Association for the Transport and Logistics of Dangerous Products (ABTLP). The action also counts on the contribution of the National Union of Fuel and Lubricant Distribution Companies (Sindicom), which will donate the diesel oil needed for transportation.
