CONTRACT SIGNED ENABLING R$1 BILLION TERMINAL IN RIO GRANDE

The adhesion agreement was signed last Friday between the National Waterway Transportation Agency (Antaq) and Terminal Rio Grande do Sul S.A., through the Ministry of Ports and Airports, allowing the installation of a private-use terminal in an area of the Port of Rio Grande. The site will be used for cargo handling and storage, mainly pulp, via waterway transport. With the concession for the construction of the terminal at the Port of Rio Grande, in addition to job creation and the strengthening of waterway transport, R$140 million will be invested in dredging the port channel. The draft will be increased from 9,5 meters to 12 meters.
