Rio Grande do Sul’s wheat crop is expected to yield an average of 3,941 kg/ha for the 2021/22 season. It reflects an increase of 16% from the most recent prediction made by Brazil’s Supply Company (Conab), which was published in January. Rio Grande do Sul produced more wheat in 2022. The wheat harvest increased by around 3.49 million tons to 5.73 million tons in 2022 as a result of the revision, which represents a 64% increase over the previous forecast in 2021. The substantial surge is a result of both an increase in planted area (around 24.9%) and an improvement in the typical grain yield.
