Conab’s second estimate for the 2025-26 harvest projects a Brazilian grain output of 354.8 million tons, nearly stable from last month and 0.8% above the previous cycle, from a total area of 84.4 million hectares (+3.3%). Soybean production is forecast to reach 177.6 million tons, a 3.6% rise, despite planting delays in Goiás and Minas Gerais caused by insufficient rain. The total corn crop is estimated at 138.8 million tons, down 1.6%, with planting for the first crop having covered 47.7% of its area. Rice is expected to fall 11.5% to 11.3 million tons, while bean production holds at around 3.1 million tons. Cotton lint is seen slightly lower at 4.03 million tons (-1.2%), despite being a larger area. Wheat production is projected to reach 7.7 million tons, with favorable weather conditions.
