Conab estimates that Brazilian grain output for the next 2024–25 harvest will be a record 328.31 million tons, 10.3% higher than the previous harvest. The extension of the planted area (81.6 million hectares) and the output recovery help explain the increase. With 167.37 million tons, soybeans output is up 13.3%. With a second harvest predicted to reach 95.52 million tons up 5.8%, total production is expected to be 122.76 million tons (+6.1%). Cotton production could set a record 3.82 million tons (+3.3%). Beans will rise 1.5% to 3.29 million tons and rice will jump 14.3% to 12.10 million tons. With a less planted area, wheat is predicted to climb to 15.6%, to reach 9.12 million tons. The ideal weather conditions help to reinforce the high hopes.
