COMPLETION OF SOYBEAN HARVEST, OFF-SEASON CORN PLANTING IN MATO GROSSO

According to Imea, the soybean harvest in Mato Grosso for 2024-25 reached 99.48% completion, up 2.15% from the previous week, beating last year’s result of 98.57%. The Mid-North has wrapped up the harvest, while the Northeast has attained 98.54%, representing a 1.45% increase. The progress of soybeans encouraged the planting of off-season corn, which covered 99.94% of the area in 2024, barely short of 100%. Corn planting is complete in the mid-north, 99.67% in the Southeast (a 0.33-point decline), and 99.88% in the West (a 0.12-point decrease). The most notable weekly changes were in the Southeast, where corn planting grew by 1.62 points, and in the Northeast, where soybean harvest jumped by 5.53%.
