The Government of Ceará plans to finance one of four power transmission lines at the Port of Pecém, aiming to resolve infrastructure bottlenecks at the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex (CIPP), a key hub for green hydrogen projects. Secretary of Economic Development Domingos Filho announced the initiative, highlighting Governor Elmano de Freitas’ proposal to the federal government. The construction of the main line is expected to be funded via an international loan or a public-private partnership (PPP). The project is seen as bold and essential to enable the expansion of CIPP and the installation of data centers in the state.
