Super Terminais, a private terminal in the industrial center of Manaus, recorded a 741,469.80-tonne throughput by the end of November, up 72% from the same period in 2021, with a record of 429,548.38 tonnes. The cargo transported in more than 122 thousand containers consisted mainly of electronic products used to supply the Manaus Free Trade Zone. Three new electric cranes acquired by the port terminal are expected to begin operation in the first half of 2023, resulting in a 25% increase in current productivity. Currently, most ships that pass through Super Terminals tranship in Panama, in Central America. Cargoes are then transferred to other vessels that move them mainly to Asia, Europe, and America.
