CARGO HANDLING AT THE PORT OF SANTOS SOARS TOWARD HISTORIC MILESTONE IN 2024

The Port of Santos kept its leading role in Brazilian foreign trade by presenting robust cargo handling data from January to November 2024, the highest volume of cargo handling in its history for the period. Over 167.1 million tons were recorded at the Santos port complex between January and November 2024, a 6% increase over the same period in 2023. Unloads reached 44.1 million tons, a notable increase of 12.5%, while shipments reached 122.9 million tons, a 3.8% gain. By volume of freight, the largest proportions were: 27.8 million tons of soybeans, 25.5 million tons of sugar, and 14.1 million tons of corn.
