From January to July 2025, the volume of cargo handled at the Port of São Francisco do Sul increased by 7% to 10.5 million tons, up from 9.8 million in 2024. Exports accounted for 55% of total volume, with soybeans (4 million tons) and corn (1.3 million). Imports totaled 4.7 million tons, led by steel (2.8 million) and fertilizers (1.6 million). In July, the terminal handled 1.7 million tons, a 46% increase over the previous year, driven by grain shipments (974 thousand tons) and steel mill landings (634 thousand) and fertilizers (190 thousand).
