Vast Infraestrutura has started building a R$250 million tank farm at the Açu Liquid Terminal (TLA), located at the Port of Açu (RJ), with operations set for late 2026. The first phase includes 40,000 m³ of storage capacity for clean fuels, base oils, and biofuels, along with pipelines and truck-loading platforms for distribution. Strategically positioned to serve vessels calling at the port, the TLA aims to become a key hub for marine fuels and future energy products like SAF and e-methanol, supporting Brazil’s energy transition. Vast, the country’s leading oil transshipment operator, plans to expand total storage to 300,000 m³. Contracts have already been signed with Vibra, for 20 years of base oil supply to its Duque de Caxias plant, and with efen, for marine gas oil logistics.
