BRAZIL’S SOYBEAN HARVEST REACHES 82% AMID FAVORABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS

According to AgRural, the soybean harvest in Brazil reached 82% on March 27, surpassing the previous week’s 77% and 2023’s 74%, the best rate for the time since 2010-11. Although drought and heat have caused crop failures, the dry conditions have sped up the harvest in Rio Grande do Sul. The harvest in the North/Northeast is moving swiftly due to favorable weather. Off-season corn got welcome rainfall in the Center-South, but weather irregularities continue to worry farmers, with the exception of Mato Grosso, where crops remain good. The summer corn harvest in the Center-South also reached 82%, matching the previous year’s index.
