BRAZIL’S SOYBEAN HARVEST REACHES 23%: HEAT IN RIO GRANDE DO SUL TAKES CENTER STAGE

With an emphasis on Mato Grosso and Paraná, the 2024–25 soybean harvest covered 23% of Brazil’s land, which is still lower than previous year’s 32%. Rio Grande do Sul worries about heat loss and needs rain. The second corn crop planting reached 36% in Brazil’s Center-South, which is also delayed when compared to 2024 (59%). Goiás and Mato Grosso producers rushed planting to grab the best window, while Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul had dry weather. Works have begun in São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Goiás, bringing the summer corn harvest to 29% of the area.
