Brazil’s Center-South region is expected to produce around 3.54 million tons of sugar in the first half of August. This is a significant increase of 34.4% compared to the previous year. The region has experienced favorable weather conditions, resulting in one of the biggest sugarcane crushes in two weeks. Experts estimate that a total of 49.6 million tons will be crushed, up 27.9% from the previous year. Market prices will determine whether sugarcane is used to produce ethanol or sugar. Analysts will closely monitor the TRS numbers and ethanol production results in the first half of August.
