Aracruz, Espírito Santo, will gain a new port complex, the Imetame Logística Port, with R$2.7 billion in investments announced by Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho. This complex will include terminals for containers, grains, general cargo, and liquid bulk, designed to accommodate large vessels, particularly for grain exports to Asia. Part of the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC), the project aims to enhance port competitiveness and capacity. The terminal, with a 17-meter draft, is scheduled to partially operate by late 2025, and fully by late 2026, expected to handle 80,000 containers and 500,000 tons of general cargo annually. The project will create 650 direct jobs and 300 indirect jobs, boosting local economy and employment.
