The Brazilian Association of Grain Exporters (Anec) has raised its estimates for soybean and corn exports. The entity released its weekly report on Tuesday, which is based on the lineup (order of ship arrivals) at Brazilian ports. The forecast for this week is 2.15 million tonnes of soybeans. In the previous period (September 10-16), the volume was 1.14 million tonnes. For corn, the forecast has increased from 2.2 million to 2.6 million tonnes. Anec’s expectation is for shipments of 88.37 million tonnes of soybeans in 2023. For corn, exports are expected to range between 34.37 million and 34.99 million tonnes for the year. Brazil is also projected to export 2.48 million tonnes of wheat.
