Between 2016 and 2025, Brazilian agribusiness grew in both scope and macroeconomic significance. The sector’s export earnings surpassed a record USD 1.24 trillion, with shipments totaling about 2.17 billion tons, the highest for any decade in its history. The Soybean Complex remained the cornerstone of national agriculture, generating USD 446.3 billion and accounting for over a third of the sector’s foreign exchange. Meanwhile, the sugar-energy sector, with USD 121.1 billion in exports, reinforced its vital role in both global food security and the energy transition.
