BRAZILIAN VICE PRESIDENT CELEBRATES AGRO-INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION DATA IN APRIL

Vice President Geraldo Alckmin is pleased with the latest data from FGV Agro, which shows that Brazilian agribusiness had its best April in ten years and the best four-month period since 2018. Alckmin took to his social media to emphasize the record growth in food and beverages (13.2%), biofuels (27.4%), and textile products (14.5%). He highlighted that strengthening agribusiness is a commitment of President Lula, to add value to products, generate employment and income, and reduce food insecurity. According to FGV Agro, agro-industrial production in April 2024 grew by 12.1% compared to April 2023, marking the highest growth for April since 2013. The cumulative index up to April 2024 also showed an increase of 4.1% compared to the same period in 2023.
